Hey, I’m Ian. I began painting decks as a teenager in Fort Collins, Colorado. After moving to the PNW in 2009, my style has evolved to blend together my passions for skate culture, american traditional tattoos, and electrical light work.
l source broken and graveyard decks from anywhere and everywhere before sanding them down to a natural wood. My acrylic paintings includes aspects of american traditional tattoo design, repeating patterns, and sometimes found objects. I then finish the decks with a two-part epoxy for an even sheen.
My biggest influences are my mom; a costume designer, illustrator, and all-around renaissance woman, as well as my grandmother and aunt who are both professional oil painters.
When I’m not painting, I’m adventuring with his two girls and scouring for treasures at estate sales.
